ADVANTAGES OF SUIT PURCHASING VERSUS RENTAL

1. Cost: Purchasing uniforms from Spada Uniforms eliminates the need for our customers to create and maintain their own stock rooms, which besides the cost of the space needed to stock the uniforms, there is the need to appoint a manager to maintain such a stock room to insure that all uniforms sizes are available on hand and in stock, the money outlay to maintain all the uniforms, and the worry of securing the stock room. 2. Fit: every suit is individually tailored to each guard and remains in his/her possession thus eliminating the possibility of suits being delivered from typical rental Company that are mixed up and not correctly sized or tailored

The fact that each guard retains possession of his/her uniform, you never have to worry about uniform delivery from the rental company.

Addressing the concern of suits being maintained and dry cleaned; we can offer several solutions;

A. It is the responsibility of each guard to maintain his/her suit and keep it in satisfactory condition the same way it is expected for them to come to work well groomed, bathed etc. Therefore the cost of dry cleaning is passed along to the guards and you reap the savings over the course of the year which can be over $500 per guard per year.

B. The company can still have the guards pay for cleaning cost as mentioned above but can gain added benefit by deducting dry cleaning costs from their paychecks but adding it back into their checks as expenses, therefore both sides save on taxes. The guard doesn’t pay taxes on the portion that is labeled as expenses and of course your company doesn’t have to pay their share of labor taxes on that expense money

C. The company can contract with local drycleaner (i.e. close to the work site) and pay cleaning costs directly, but of course the responsibility to drop off and pick up is in the hand of the guards which in addition to eliminating the worry associated with a rental company, the possibilities of mix up between guards’ uniforms is eliminated.. Alternatively we can recommend a dry cleaner that will arrange pickup of the dirty uniforms and return of the cleaned uniforms within a few days, instead of typical rental companies that only offer pickup of dirty uniforms and drop off of cleaned uniforms at the same time, which means that uniforms are out of circulation for a full week.

3. Price: Outright purchase of uniforms is undoubtedly less expense than rentals when viewed against the backdrop of a typical rental contract that is for 2 years. Yes, a rental contract will usually include laundry service however there are undoubtedly hidden charges such as those assed for lost or unreturned uniforms especially in the normal course of events with personal turnover.
